Booth multiplication
Also known as Booth recoding, Booth multiplier. This is the canonical page; those names redirect here.
Deliberately does NOT claim the bare name 'Booth's algorithm': that belongs to Kellogg Booth's least-rotation algorithm in strings (1980), while this is Andrew Donald Booth's signed multiplier (1951). Same surname, different people, different problems.
